A few months ago, when the weather was much nicer than it is today, I had the pleasure of working with an old friend at Katie and Colby’s wedding in Greenwich, CT at Belle Haven Club. I was so happy to join my friend Amanda Herzberger of Orchard Cove Photography for this wedding. Make sure you take a look at her blog post. Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. – Helen Keller

Every time I photograph a family session I am reminded of what is really important. Love. I didn’t understand the scope of this until Jared and I had our son, Isaac almost a year and a half ago. I would do anything for my son. I get it now. I understand this sacrificial love that parents have for their kids and it’s amazing. I enjoy family sessions for this reason. It’s not easy to get everyone together but it’s so important to capture these moments and places that are so special to us.

A few weeks ago I photographed our dear friends Kevin, Whitney, and Charlie before they moved from Brooklyn to (as they affectionately called it) “up state.”  Their session was at McGolrick Park in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Kevin and Whitney got married in this park and our kids played here often. It’s a sweet little park and it was perfect for their session. This session was one of my favorites. Enjoy!

I met Lee when I first moved to Brooklyn. We were both walking our dogs at the park and I stopped to ask her about her dog. We have been friends ever since. Its crazy when we stop and think about how people come into our lives. I couldn’t imagine not meeting Lee. I’m so happy that I was able to photograph these two during a really great time in their lives. Congratulations you two!
